MOMRA Smart City Project
Scope of work: Smart and geospatial town planning services to develop smart cities across the Kingdom. Dar Al Riyadh is currently implementing the first Smart Cities project for MOMRA to allow the local governing authorities to use information and communication technologies (ICT) to achieve the explicit goals of improving the quality of life of its citizens and sustainable economic development. These goals will be achieved via improved service delivery, more efficient use of resources (human, infrastructure and natural), and financially and environmentally sustainable practices that support economic development.
Dar Al Riyadh responsibility is to benchmark all cities of the Kingdom and perform sampling through 90+ smartness indicators (measuring transportation choices, waste disposal, energy efficiency, etc.) based upon worldwide acceptance.
Dar Al Riyadh Geomatics services & solutions division will share the result of the findings with MOMRA and advise them how to make a smart city. After the completion of this stage, a roadmap will be provided to local municipalities to guide them into becoming smart cities.
