Ministry of Interior Emergency Warning System for Floods, Natural Disasters and Gas release

In 2011, the Ministry of Interior – Civil Defense – commissioned Dar Al Riyadh to install an emergency warning system to notify the residents in case of a natural disaster, gas release and emergency. The chosen technology is a radio frequency based system, which is linked to various Civil Defense control centers and 24/7 monitored by Civil Defense operators.

Scope of work: Design, supply and installation of a warning system which includes 1,377 omnidirectional sirens along with the respective electronic cabinet, strobe lights, lightning arresters, bollards, fence and solar power. The chosen locations were in selected strategic areas in the Western, Central, Madina and Tabuk regions.
