Ministry of Defense RSAF Complex

The Al Kharj RSAF Complex Project is one of the largest military projects of its kind. Dar Al Riyadh was involved in its development stages, master planning, final design and construction supervision. The project entails a multi-mission operations and training base covering an area of 540 square kilometers southeast of Riyadh. It includes the design of King Faisal Air Force Academy and a state-of-the-art educational facility for 1500 cadets. The design was executed in a joint venture with Frank E. Basil, Inc. USA.

The architectural design of the Air Force Academy and friday mosque was performed under the directions of the AIA gold medal winner, Arthur Erickson.

Scope of work: Studies, master planning, concept & detailed design and construction supervision of the Al Kharj RSAF complex.
